Behind an impressive facade added in 1857, this historic coaching inn dates back to the 16th century. Our hotel has long been Hereford's most popular hostelry offering a warm welcome and informal atmosphere.
On view is a unique experience of British snail farming technology, which is now being used in other countries. Snails can be seen being farmed both indoors and outdoors. Snails are processed on site, with visitors able to have free tasting and to buy product. The static display shows the history and development of snail farming, together with other aspects of the snail as food. Also nature trail containing wild British snails. Identify the many different species found in the British Isles - over 90 different species.
